@mhailo - I think you're forgetting Tracey didn't race for 3-4 years either.
Very fair point and very much the same bud.
Awful article. No substance. Sweeping generalisations. Surfing analogy said it all. Picture selections fill in the gaps.
You ruined it before you even posted it by merely being a male. You can not and will not ever truly understand their plight from your own perspective. Pinkbike if you're serious about the fair representation of women in the sport - you need a woman who understands it just as well to write your articles.
Sounds like you stole her bike.
Terrible article. Sorry. All this has done has objectify them in the sport even further. You basically did the exact opposite of what you intended.
Sam Hill to double fist EVERYONE at Val Di Sole.
You're missing the point you muppet. Are you 12 years old or something? Read what I said you flippin' fool.
Well seeing as I live in the region, I think it's a fair thing to claim at my end.
The concept is sound. No one would deny that protecting their stanchions is a bad idea. This however is a terrible idea.
How it got this far is beyond me. Without even listening to or reading the article, it has issues which hit you in the face.
I'm extremely disappointed with this whole series. It's very amateur and holy fuck can you please muzzle Mike Montgomery. He's an absolutely killer slope styler but that doesn't gift him with technical knowledge.
Sorry, but what are we paying for again with the chain guide? Everyone is talking about the costs outside the actual materials but aside from the actually 'manufacturing' costs which on a large scale and by a company that's been producing these things for 2 decades... what other costs must be incurred?
You're having a laugh if you think design and engineering added to the cost. I could make that in my old high school's workshop. There is NOTHING unique, intricate or difficult about the process of creating it. It's a carbon copy of about 10 other guides on the market.
Don't get me wrong, all the overheads and having to actually turn a profit weigh in quite a bit, but I think it's a very unreasonable price for something so simple and so similar to many other products.
I think you'll find Whistler is a far more accurate 'centre'. The bike park is there for starters, then you have Pemberton to the north and Squamish to the south, both within 30min drive. A little further south is the Shore. Whistler is cliché and crowded, but realistically, it's the centre.
Hence, didn't land the trick. Sorry but I think it's pretty lame to win a best trick that wasn't even landed. Where do you draw the line if you start letting this happen?
I totally wiped out trying this triple tailwhip truckdriver... BUT GIVE ME BEST TRICK FOR ATTEMPTING IT
I am of the opinion that TW's and BF's and combinations thereof just do not cut it any more. I was literally off my bed cheering when I saw the 720 attempt.
TW/BF's are getting REALLY old. It's a staple move - if you CAN'T do them then you shouldn't be riding slopestyle. I don't mind combos or variations but on their own they are beyond stale.
Anyway sweet video - some awesome combos got thrown down and plenty of them were quite refreshing and exciting to see :D About Us
